One of the America’s ill-famed war was the Vietnam one. The president of the country by then, Lyndon Johnson said that he was not going to send the American boys very far away to accomplish a job that the Vietnam boys should be performing themselves to their country.
As the president of the United States of America, He never kept his word. Within a short time the American soldiers went to Vietnam to fight against the communism where more than 60,000 of them lost their lives. As an alternative to this, they were spit on by people.
After years rolled by, the surviving soldiers who returned back, were never even given the ticker tape parades they expected as the WWII veterans. To make matters worse, they were not even recognized as heroes for the hard fight that they fought one after another.
In the following video, you clearly notice that the Vietnamese veterans from the Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum singing to, We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, a common melody by The Animals. The song was actually the most demanded by the U.S Armed Forces residing in Vietnam during the war.
